Jupiter - 3rd May 2016

Hello. here is a drawing of Jupiter on the 3rd May 2016 at 21:10 BST.

There was some high cloud which created a slightly murky view. The shadow of Europa can be seen just starting to transit the disk.

Scope used was an Intes Micro 715 Maksutov with Binoviewers at x 187

Lovely sketch, some nice detail despite the murk! I started observing at 9.25 when the shadow and GRS were further onto the disk, and sometime around then Europa itself became visible on the other limb in the darkened area.

Great sketch. Well done! :) Called it a night at about 10:15pm last night as seeing was getting worse, but managed to watch the shadow of Europa from the first appearance on the disk, until just past halfway on Jupiter.
