Jupiter 14/3/16

Attached is the sketch of Jupiter from the evening of the 14th. The seeing was a bit in and out but better for me than the night before. The Great Red Spot was not red at all but bright orange, while on the opposite (north) belt there was what appeared to be a dark red barge, which at first gave the impression of a large red spot. A couple of festoons became evident during the sketch but they were not obvious at the start. The seeing and transparency are recorded on the sketch.

Hi Daniel,

I used a 100mm Tak F7.4 apo and a bino viewer with 18mm Tak LE eyepieces.
