Hi all, just wanted to share, my setup (127) arrived an hour ago, went together like a dream, I apologise in advance for the next 6 months of cloudy skies!

I am surprised at how heavy it is, I may have to rethink moving it in and outdoors, might need a shed.

Also bought the 7ah power tank, nice design, lots of useful ports on it!

Congratulations. You have the same scope as I have, apart from that I use an EQ mount without goto.

Yes, it is not very light and that is why I don't consider buying an even bigger telescope.

Take a look at Jupiter. It is high in the sky these days and looks really nice in the scope.

Ive celestron's  MAK127 which is essentially the same thing, i love the optics in these, there they are cracking little scopes.

Congratulations. The 127 is a cracking wee scope. I would advise you to add a dew shield. Either make one or buy from FLO.

Compact scope with useful aperture and great optics. What's not to love? I'm sure you will have lots of fun once the clouds part.

A camping mat or a couple mouse mats can be used to make a diy dew shield, the front element on the 127 will attract dew like mad. Can buy ones as mentioned above, I think some are even heated.
