Possible Short Notice Meet ?

At the moment, the forecast for Tuesday night Dec. 8th looks promising for clear skies throughout the night, possibly the last one of this year.

If the forecast holds true, is there anyone else up for a Meet at our Blaenavon site  ? ? ?

Update: Although the forecasts look good for a few hours of clear sky tonight, the predicted winds would make for a miserable observing session at the site.  Conditions need to be good overall to make the trip worthwhile considering that most of us have far to travel and with the small amount of interest it makes sense to call tonight's short notice meet a " NO - GO ".

Hopefully these unstable conditions will pass sooner than later, and we can all catch up once again.

Cheers.

when you arrive in the dark its nice if you use side lights when turning into the carpark ( so we are not dazzled by head lights and upset dark adaption) its very informal lots of talking and drinking tea , you will need to dress well it gets very cold up on the top and don't forget a hat and gloves , it gets cold just standing about
