Mirror storage whilst flocking OTA

I just purchased 2 rolls of flocking paper from Wilkos for Dobbie and I was thinking about somewhere safe to store the primary and secondary/spider whilst they out of the tube. From other people's experience, where did you keep them? I was thinking of just getting a box with lid that's large enough for them both. Would this do? Do you cover the mirror surfaces with anything?

A box with a lid will do just fine. After all, that's just what the 'scope is with the covers on!

i put mine in the car whilst i did it, and locked it up. when you have finished flocking and your happy, use a vacum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to suck all the loose fibres off

When I flocked my 200p I just laid all the parts on the floor out of the way ( so they can't get knocked off anything and fall) I also ran a lint roller over the material once in place, I was very surprised at the amount of fibres that came off. Well worth doing to ensure they don't end up on your mirror.
