QHYCCD have announced a new gadget to help with polar allignment

being very lazy myself and without obsy I especially like the idea of "Within  two minutes you could obtain very high polar alignment precision up to 30 arcsec. "

It'll be interesting to see how it actually performs when it goes on sale

It's always great to see new gadgets appear on the market, it will be interesting to see how it performs against the more traditional methods.

One statement that did concern me was: "The PoleMaster has a 15*10 degree field of view. You can find the north star easily." This infers that you need to be able to see the Pole Star from your viewing location to use the device, which may not be possible for everyone.

looks like they're available to order now direct from qhyccd http://www.qhyccd.com/PoleMaster.html at an introductory price (but then there's tax and import duty to consider).  Very tempting but I think I'll wait for MA to start stocking them (and Christmas is out of the way ).

Does anybody know of any UK stockists? Indeed are FLO planning on stocking? Very interested in buying one of these. Will take the backache out of polar alignment.
