Put these  on facebook a couple of days ago but to anyone thats intrested:

Bored while on overtime so had a play with the new pluto data, stitched the images and adjusted the wavelets slightly and colorised the 0.2M km image.

FB resizes the images so have uploaded the full size images here:
http://176.126.241.47/pano8c.png - 0.2M km
http://176.126.241.47/pano10.png - 0.1M km

The raw images from NASA can found here: http://pluto.jhuapl.edu/soc/Pluto-Encounter/index.php

Not to sure which bit you mean Jabeoo, The following page has some awesome newer images and theories on the geology etc: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/newhorizons/main/index.html

Thank you for this! I've been waiting for this to be published. Looks to be more than worth the wait. And your work on the two combined images is most impressive!

Keep going!

Dave

Sorry, I was a bit vague.  Its not a spot on the limb or disc its in the blackness of space in your 1st image in your original post.

Moon? Hot pixel?  Or more distant star or Planet ?

My guess is still on stars, there's a couple at around 2 and 5 o' clock also. The reason I don’t think they are moons or possible planetary objects is im sure someone at NASA would have been delighted to have highlighted them, they could of course be something boring like hot pixels etc but dont match position.  Its a shame stellarium cant give you a view from a different point in space. :)
