Bubble and Friends revisited (130pds)

Well... last night was a cracker eh? Just a light breeze, but a perfect sky. And on top of that the 130 behaving rather well after a good re-collimation. So, the exposure has been increased to just over 2.5 hours per pane (x4), which has helped bring out the lobster claw. Layer masks were also used on the bubble to stop it from burning out (its quite easy to burn), plus some selective high pass and contrast.

I also attempted a starless version, but it didnt seem to work as well as it did with IC1396 as there still seems to be quite a few star remnants kicking about. Killing stars from a newt isnt easy! :)

16x600 (Ha), 2x2 bin, x4 panes

Does the Lobster claw have an IC, NGC or M designation so I can use synscan to find it?

Unfortunately not, its only designation (as far as im aware) is Sh2-157. You can go directly to it if you have stellarium connected to your mount, but another pointer is that small star cluster (at bottom centre) which is designated NGC7510, or that bright star above it is HIP115395.... or you can just punch the co-ordinates directly into your handset:

(JNow)

23h/16m/42s

+60o/14'/20"

Depending on how good your mount calibration was for the evening, it should get you fairly close.
