NGC281 Nikon D5100 Monotec modified camera

Received this Nikon camera from Herra earlier and have been 'playing' with it for a while. Last night it had its first more serious work-out on NGC281.

Image comprises: 2x 1200s and 16x600s all at 1600 iso through a Baader 7nm H-Alpha filter.

Scope was my Altair 115 EDT-APO on the Avalon Linear Fast Reverse mount. Capture with BackYard Nikon, guiding with Maxim Dl. Processing with PI and tweak in PS (CS3).

Image has been cropped for framing. No Darks, flats or Bias frames used.

Re-process on this image adding Bias and flat frames to clean-up the background a little - still to shoot the dark frames.

That's looking great Francis - There is so much data away from the Pacman itself that it makes a refreshing change to see it
