Sun on Saturday 8th August

13:00 UT 8th August.

I am happier with the white light image taken on my AA ED70 with a Lunt Herschel wedge with an Olympus micro 4/3rds and mounted on a Skywathcer Start Adventurer, using a Baader 8-24mm zoom.

I am astonished with the SA mount, again roughly aligned using a compass and level  it tracked and kept the Sun in view for 3 hours.

The Ha were taken on my PST using a Celestron Zoom and a Canon 650D. I only have Phtoshop Elelments and that does not allow me to combine the disc detail with the coronal detail. Still learning... This was mounted on a Vixen Porta II mount which IMO is one of the best AZ mounts around.

Never used it but as far as I'm aware it can do pretty much everything you need.

Not sure if they have a 16 bit version now or not.

Very nice start GIMP is a very good programme and free they didn't have 16bit version last time i looked
