New skywatcher "varistable" clutch goto dob ?

I purchased a new mount the other day and in the box was a fancy skywatcher calendar which shows new products on each month, this caught my attention seems to be an improved goto dob

Haven't seen these advertised anywhere yet

Have I missed something? These have been around for years! Or is it just the use of the word VariStable that is of interest.

Yes. They have been around for ages, but I'm sure that I have read about the action being far from smooth if you use it manually. Great if they have sorted that out.

The current ones have encoders, and you can grab them and push them in the direction while they are doing their GOTO thing, and it won't upset them.
