From that era I would expect the tube to be PVC. From the mirror description it would appear to be a David Hinds A quality one, worth the" Buy it Now" price on its own.

I agree with Peter. With a little TLC even the mount / pedestal is worth the asking price.

Sorry Damian, I dont do newts anymore, theyre not natural :-) Give me a proper refractor any day.

My mate had exactly that spec newt from Fullerscopes in the 80s. It was a superb performer
