northcanadian
Hi folks:It finally warmed up a bit here...only -10 celsius tonight so I had a chance to do a drift alignment on my 9.25SCT. I wanted to get set up for the next imaging session of Jupiter. After I got it as best I could I centered Jupiter in the reticle eyepiece using also a 2.5x Powermate.....went in the house for 5 minutes....then when I checked again it was just a tad off center in the reticle, so I'm glad to have one thing less to contend with on the next imaging session. Also the collimation seemed pretty good...had a nice clear observing session...pretty happy 'bout this go round!Clear skiesRoger

Stargazer33
Sounds like you had a really constructive session Roger. I've still yet to try drift aligning, but it is on the schedule for the next time I get out.
