An interesting little asterism

Came across this interesting little asterism while unsuccessfully searching for NGC 188.

It reminded me of the Big Dipper so I just had to sketch it.

It's in the region of the Seven Sisters of the Pole about 4 to 5 degrees from Polaris in the Constellation of Cepheus.

I think there's just too much light polution for me to see NGC 188 from my location.

That's the reverse of the sickle asterism in Leo.

Nice sketch, just like the plough but with 1 star moved.

I'm pretty sure I looked at 188 last night in the dob. Nice little cluster.

It certainly is very similar to the Plough.

I came across this same little asterism while unsuccessfully looking for NGC 188 tonight too.

I found this old thread while searching for tips to find NGC 188.
