Setting up your goto. Date format. Schoolboy error

Just a heads up for all our UK based people. Remember that synscan handsets use the U.S. date format for dates.

ie mm.dd.yyyy

So remember to input the date correctly or you'll spend a good couple of hours pulling your hair out trying to align to stars that are below the horizon.

A more appropriate bit of advice might be to actually read the instruction manual ...  :rolleyes:

Don't even need to read the manual.

When the handset requests the date is displays: mm/dd/yyyy

It is the same with Longitude and Latitude, the handset displays what item it wants the user to input.

Reading what you are asked to supply would solve a lot.
