Hi all.

Had a few probs tonight with autostar,there has been a topic on this before.

Can someone remember where the thread is please?I'm doing something daft just cant put my finger on it.

Hi Greg-Ian.

The prob I had last night was,after initializing-trainig the drives,I put it into easy align.

It missed the first star by a good clenched fist ,useing the arrow keys i eventually managed to sentre the star.

The second align star missed by about the same,on both stars it was to the south west.

Am now going to give weasners site a look see if any one else had this prob.

Forgot to mention,

choosing any objects it was missing by about the same,hope that makes sense.

Is your telescope level and pointing North? this is a common issue with goto scopes..

Hi James,

Yes made particular attention to that,but have just checked out the weasner site,and he recomends polar north not mag' north,also to callibrate motors before traing motors.

Will try polar north first and narrow it down abit.

How have you set daylight-saving when setting the time?

1. Fresh batteries

2. Calibrate motors, train drives - in daylight.

3. Polar North and level scope on flat ground.

4. Date time -Blah, blah!!

All the above has been done,my only concern now is location,I had the choice of Cambridge-Birmingham-Manchester-Newcastle,as I live in Linc's decided on Cambridge.

Just need clear sky to try.
