Glasses wearer

I need glasses for close up reading etc, Long vision no problem. (only need to use supermaket readers)

However if im looking through the scope is it better to wear my readers or just use focus on the scope ?

Does anyone benefit by wearing  them or not????

I wear specs all the time. Mostly need them for distance sight/driving. I have however never worn them when observing with either a scope or bins. No technical reason really, just habit.

I am both near and long sighted, and don't wear my glasses while observing, have you

tried wearing yours at the eyepiece, for me I get perfect focus without mine.

If you do not have astigmatism, you do not need to wear glasses behind the scope.

Same here I find it better to take glasses of when using bino's or the scope. Need them at all other times though

Same here I take glasses off for viewing. Mind you I struggle to read the ep size without them !.

I wear glasses and will either take them off or leave them on, slightly more inconvenient with them on but it means I know where they are.

Oddly I have some astigmatism but I tend to take the glasses off if I cannot manage to get a good image with them on and they are corrected for my astigmatism. :confused:

Well that answers that then,

I always leave them off but wondered if i was missing out especially when using averted vision.

I prefer to observe without my glasses but it is a bit of a pain when I need to consult the atlas.

I have the dreaded astigmatism so have to wear them don't find it to mouth problem which I didn't need to though .
