M33 - Second Attempt

This is my second try at M33 - this time with an ED80 (instead of my C8 Edge).  (My first attempt is here - http://stargazerslounge.com/topic/229639-stacking-images-from-a-nikon-d800/page-2

This was from my first night out with the ED80 and Canon 600D combo.  Using a ZWO 120 attached to the stock ED80 finderscope to guide.  This is a little over 20 x 5 minute exposures.  Bias and Flat frames.  No darks - I used APT/PHD to dither.

That's really impressive, nice one!

You recommend using dithering then?

I'm a beginner.  I used dithering because that's what others here recommended I do.

As I understand it, because the camera is moved a few pixels between each shot, different information falls on these pixels for each shot.  That helps with noise and hotspots.

I agree with others that this is a very good capture.  As ever, more data would make it even better, but it's a tough one as the edges of the galaxy are not well defined and the whole thing looks a lot 'looser' than most spirals.

Congrats!
