Hi Edd,I am not sure about the Ts Optics 0.5x reducer for DSO imaging but this Reducer  http://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/language/en/info/p4955_Astro-Physics-CCDT67-0-67x-Reducer-2----z-B--fuer-GSO-RC.html

seems the most favoured for use with the 6rc

There are a couple of people that post there remarkable images on here that use a 6rc and this reducer

If you can't quite stretch to the one Paul suggested, the Altair 0.6 reducer is said to work quite well with RC's.

I had the Altair .6 for a while and even with an f/7.5 refractor it did a reasonably good job considering it cost 85 pounds. I expected it to be terrible for that kind of money and such a large reducing effect so I was pleasantly surprised! The Altair .8 is very very good for shorter f/ratio scopes I found.

Hi

Is anyone using a TS Optics 0.5x reducer for DSO imaging? I was wondering how the 2" version might fair on a 6RC with QHY8L.

Thanks

Ed

The Astrophysics 0.67X reducer is the only one that seems to work well with RCs. These 0.5X reducers are good for playing about with small chipped planetary cameras or perhpas guide cameras to provide a larger FOV.

Thanks all, sounds like a waste of money...

I got the revelation 0.75x reducer that's made for the revelation RC's (GSO, same as the Altair ones I believe).

Hopefully it won't be a complete waste of cash... I'll report back how I get on.
