Fisheye trial

from darkish site and a low moon

That works well, even though the stars are very elongated towards the edges. What was this taken with please? I got myself a screw-in fisheye adaptor for my kit lens that I'd like to try sometime. It was only £5 or so off eBay, have no idea if it will be any good.

Ever since my teenage years working in an old style photgraphic dealers I've always wanted to have a go with a fisheye.

I like the effect, it just feels different.

yes the stars at the edge are a bit odd and I don't think they can be avoided

I used one of these 8mm fisheye lenes

I also have another that need testing

it was bought to be used as a projection lens in the dome.

I have some longer subs taken at the weekend that I will get round to assessing and stacking if they are any good

the bits intruding on the right are the back of the caravan and a barn which was handily hiding the moon

Did you take any precaution against dew ?? I know with my fisheye you can't hide anywhere but behind the lens so I'm guessing a dew shield wasn't used.

not this time but did wrap a dew band round the other night from here and it kept it clear
