I prefer the WO 7.5-22.5 I have, because it is just about the only zoom I have ever been able to use comfortably with glasses. They are now sold under different brand names

I have the Celestron 8-24mm zoom and swear by it.

A friend introduced me to it a while ago, he paid £75 (UK), I managed to find one in the US for £50 delivered.

There is a new Hyperion zoom reviewed in Astronomy Now (Sept. I think ?!) and this was £199 (although it did come with accessories).

The Celestron must be a good contender at this price though.

It also has a wide field as well.
