A newly processed version. 15x2 minutes, 135mm lens at f3.5 on a modded Canon 100D.

love that, very nicely framed. very nice detail. i would have had a go at the same objects last night if it had not clouded over in the early hours. was it with a modded camera?

Thank. Yes, a modded 100D. I've tried shooting them with my unmodded camera and while I can just make out the shape of the Heart it tends to blend in with the background of the Milky Way - if you don't know what to look for it doesn't stand out.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm much happier with this version, boosting up the saturation has given it some punch. Another thing I've noticed is that the aperture blades in my Super-Takumar can be retracted past the furthest open stop (f3.5), which seems to eliminated the diffraction spikes (unless there is nothing bright enough in frame to make them). Sometimes I like the spikes, but it's good to have the option to remove them.
