Unexpectedly long clear gap this morning, even had time to do white light close ups

When I first pointed the PST sunward I could see what looked like the tail end of a flare event but there was cloud in the way at the time, did manage to get this.

I only managed h-alpha, shame with all those nice spots about. Just as well I gave up as it is now raining. I thought the clouds were saving it all up for the Bank Holiday Monday

Was stunning here at 6am when I crawled out after the Moon but then it closed in til 9 before I could get a decent gap .
