My latest effort and producing an image of Eta Carnae ...

Any comments / questions most welcome.

Details:

Nikon D300 (unmodified)

Baader coma corrector and UHC-S filter

100x30sec UHC-S

Skywatcher Quattro 10" f4 Newtonian & AZ-EQ mount

Orion autoguider + PHD2

Converted NEF to 16bit TIFF in CameraRaw, Stacked in Nebulosity (drizzle), processed in photoshop

"baggywrinkle" - yes I'm quite lucky; I live in the near dark, 100kms from Sydney and up around 700m in the Blue Mountains.

Paddy - I captured what I thought was a "dark" but I noticed that subtracting it from the set of "lights" produced significant artefacts.  When I looked at the "dark" it had some very low level signal in the first few bits.  I think I must have had light leakage somewhere - I had the front cover in place on the scope so perhaps I have a problem at the back.  Anyway, no, the image does not include any "darks".
