First shot of Saturn

This is my first attempt at AP and am pleased with my results!! I used my Celestron 6se with a 17mm and my sony camcorder (xr500) with a lot of help from Registax6!! Can't wait till I can get a DSLR to strap to it so I can get steadier images to work with.  Saturn.47.bmp

Great start! Some detail coming through there.

As a note, DSLRs, especially those with the IR filter removed are better for DSOs. Nebulae etc. If you want to take pictures of the planets and Moon then a dedicated Astro-cam like the QHY5L II (other cameras are available ) is a better choice. They tend to have a higher frame rate and therefore can take more frames during those all too brief moments of clarity.

Great catch ! I will try myself with a similar setup but using a wabcam. Can't wait to see if I can do as good as you did.
