New telescope user in atherstone

Hi,

I have just recently bought a skywatcher 150p reflector and was looking for like minded people in the area around where I live, or groups that might get together either to observe or discuss.

I think it might be a good idea to try your local astronomical societys.

I meet up with some guys from Tamworth at a society in knowle near solihull. It's a bit quiet right now due to it barely getting dark but we hope to meet up in knowle for a BBQ in August and we will bring our scopes to that.

I think there is another society near by tamworth too meeting near kingsbury water park.

I'm looking to get the skywatcher 150p, how have you got on with it so far?

The 150P is an excellent scope. Compact size means it is easily manageable and just enough aperture to make faint and fuzzies interesting.

I live just down the road from you in Nuneaton, and I'm certain a couple of people from an astronomical society I go to live in Atherstone so there's a few of us about.

Lowen22 it's a great scope all read enjoyed mars and Saturn through can't wait to view Jupiter I would highly recommend the skywatcher 150p.

Scogyrd that's good to know I'm just getting to grips with all the functions of the scope at the moment and playing around with the set up when I'm ready to leave the back yard for darker sites I will drop you a message, what society are you part of.
