thank you for the info adds more interest to an already interesting image, how do you know the earth scale size?

The Sun is about 108 times the diameter of the Earth - so by knowing the number of pixels across the Sun's diameter (a little over 1000px in my images) I could make a suitable "small Earth" (about 10px) that was to scale.
