I was quite keen to try out webcam imaging of the sun (white light) so I had a quick go with my new setup - 90mm short tube refractor (star sky), Lunt 1.25" Baader Continuum filter, UV/IR filter and Microsoft Lifecam.  Mounted on the AZ4.  Captures were ~ 20 seconds each, I picked the best one.  I then processed it in Registax6 then cropped and tweaked in GIMP.
best attempt at editing it:
for comparison, this is the equivalent NASA image:
and my best attempt so far at adding false colour, though I lost some of the detail on the spots
obviously I could improve them with either barlowing in on a sunspot, using a tracking mount, collecting more data and spending more time on focusing.  Better editing would also help - so basically everything I did could be improved   .
