A very blotchy offering today I'm afraid , snatched some through the 'thinnest' part of the cloud , but the heavy striations proved impossible to smooth away ... 

1000D + Tal 100RS + 1.3 x Barlow + ND3.8 + OIII.

1/100s @ ISO 200 , 11/200 , Reg 5.1 , Gimp 2.8.

Superb Steve, thanks for reminding me what a star looks like.

I haven't seen the sun for 10 days now, it has alternated between thick mist and thick mist with heavy rain. When the sun does come out I will need welding glasses to protect my eyes, the pupils have opened that wide.
