Peter Drew Posted March 19, 2014 Share Posted March 19, 2014 I'm pleased to say that I also saw it, looked like the smoke billowing from a steam train's funnel. This was a prominence and does not have a direct influence on auroral events, these come from flares and coronal mass ejections when active in our direction.
