Unusual Anomaly...

Can anyone advise the likely cause of the strange track in the centre of the attached image, which is part of a set up 20 subs. it is the only one of the set showing the trace and they were all shot consecutively using an automatic timer remote and it's mid-way through the set.

It looks like some form of vibration. The track starts at Jupiter and the nearby star and the settles down again.

A brief but major bump (major in imaging terms!)  The fainter stars are too faint to have recorded it, needing longer to make themselves known to the chip.

Has to be from vibration of some sort in the way it has moved. As suggested a bump on the tripod or mount would be the obvious choice as it looks like it has moved in a springing motion.

That is a possibility I suppose as I was in Iceland at the time.

The thing that puzzles me is that I wasn't near the tripod at the time and there doesn't appear to be any trace against the other bright objects, there's nothing on the subs either side of this one. I wondered if it was possibly space debris coming in, but I think that's a bit too much of a fluke.
