cleaning a primary mirror

hi all has any one got any good ideas for cleaning a primary mirror,my celestron has a dirty mirror from being stored.some how despite the scope having its caps and cover on it seems that the mirror has dust and fluff balls/mould fluff on it nothing to serious tho.any ideas would be great as this will be a first for me many thanks

Dion has a good video on cleaning the mirror which is the method I use which is the fingertip method.  Unlike others I clean my mirror quite a bit, I just like it to be spotless.  The thing to remember is preparation and the house to yourself and a good 3 litres of distilled water.

Can you post a pic of the mirror?. I'd say leave it alone and maybe just use a rocket blower to remove any large bits of dust/fluff.

Read up on all the options and if you do it then take care.

It does sound prety bad and as if it needs some attention given to it.

Really much thought and care is the best approach.
