Hi Jules,

You need to get  the drivers from here:-

http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/cpindex.pl?ctn=SPC900NC/00&hlt=Link_Software&mid=Link_Software&scy=GB&slg=ENG

And do the work around for the 64 bit here:-

http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/6096284/Main/3862114

I could lend you an SPC880 flashed to an SPC900 to be sure you can get it to work before buying one. Are you likely to be over this way any time soon?

I feel sure that it "just worked" for me.  I don't remember having to do anything special, certainly.  I have a 32-bit win7 laptop I've just reinstalled that I could try it on, but no 64-bit machines that I've not already plugged it into.

I'm not a Windows person really.  Presumably if I plug it into the 32-bit machine and it works without me needing to download stuff to install then it stands a strong chance of working on 64-bit?

No, I was wrong.  I looks like I probably did install a driver on my 64-bit machine.  And I still have the installer file, which you're welcome to a copy of should you need it.  The camera works fine and I'm sure I didn't do any messing about to get it to work on the 64-bit OS.

My SPC900NC camera does work without any problem on Win7 64-bit. But if you need to flash it to the 900 firmware, the rwmac software does only works on WinXP 32-bit, not in any newer Windows enviroment. That could be good to know.

I flashed my PCVC840K to the SPC900 firmware using rwmac on WinXP - so now it thinks it's a fully-fledged SCPC900 - and then installed the standard SPC900 drivers for Win7 64-bit from the Philips website  (http://www.philips.co.uk/c/webcams-headsets/vga-ccd-spc900nc_00/prd/?t=support)   ... and it works just fine - I didn't have to do anything 'special' to get it to work on Win7 64-bit.
