T-Adapter + Eye Piece?

Recommended Posts

I am completely new to Astrophotography and thought I had the basics down, one thing new I have come across searching around the web are people talking about dropping in a eyepiece into their t-adapter then locking the DSLR in over the top? Is this something people do? I was under the impression the scope became the lens for the camera, and at very most you sometimes have to use a barlow to get it to focus? Is this even a real possibility or are other people talking nonsense?

Thank you!

I believe Telescope house do a 32mm and a 40mm projection eyepiece by revelation.I have the 40mm but only use it for visual. The eye guard can be removed to reveal a standard t-thread.I think they call this a focal photography, hope this helps
