The Moon in colour - 14 Sep 2013

This post is a bit later than intended as I have only just found time to process the raw capture files.  But anyway, images were captured a week ago but here is the final image anyway:

SW Esprit ED 120 PRO Triplet,
x1.6 Barlow, Canon 450D

150 images (CR2) -> PIPP -> 75 best (TIFF) -> Reg6 -> PS

Very nice and sharp image. The colour balance on my screen seems a bit brown. Upping the blue channel a bit might help

Thanks for your comments.  Looking at it again I can see that it has become somewhat brown, a side effect from trying to stop the highlights from becoming blue I think.  I shall have to have another play with the colour later!

Very nice sharp image, Chris I was driving back from a very nice night out tonight and the moon looked amazing, very yellow. I hope to make it out for a quick imaging session before any pesky clouds roll in.

Looks like you have tried to keep the brighter parts subdued and it left it more brown than you would probably liked..more tweaking in photoshop could maybe tone it better...nice clean image with you ed120...I have the ed80 and you can tell the big difference in images with quality optics...Davy
