Owl Cluster

Here is a quick attempt at the Owl Cluster. It is RGB only, with 7x10min subs per channel. This was taken using my MN190. Processed in PixInsight.

I was hoping that the stars would be a bit bluer, but I think either they just aren't, or I've overexposed it and washed out the colour a bit. I'll have to have another go when I get a chance.

Very nice one of a lovely little cluster. I just checked that my first drawing of this cluster is from 1980. It has been one of my favourite autumn treats.

NIce, though 10 min subs at F5 are quite long if you are only looking for stars. I think RGB only was a good idea but I suspect that you'd have obtained more with less. Not often you can say that!

Yes I think the cores on the stars are too bright and this has washed out some colour. I'll try this again at some point with 5 minute subs and see how that goes.
