Threadlocker removal

I have just bought a great product which makes removal of threadlocker easy, its a product called Loctite 7200.

I was struggling loosening the objective from the gold ota on my PST and despite using many different methods (including an oil filter wrench) I was unable to get it to budge. After 5 applications to the joint over a couple of days it loosened easily.

As it softens the threadlocker it also enabled me to get the remaining locker out of the threads and a final wipe with Acetone / Isopropyl alcohol and its as good as new.

Be careful on paint finishes and check fastness first though!
