Early one today but only just had chance to process the data. Took 120 frames of 1/1000th @ ISO 100 with the new Evostar setup. Stacked 38 as selected by Registax and then tweaked in GIMP.

Another fine image David. I just checked yesterdays pic, and you have the same field of illumination. It slightly biased towards the bottom of the disc. You could check the collimation of the scope to make sure the optics are centred or maybe move the disc a bit in the frame to centre the hotspot. Its only a minor thing, so don't worry about too much.

So early on 1st July it wasn't possible to see the new AR, very interesting! a super shot though

Very nice and crisp image. I think the new AR does show up as a bright patch neighbouring a shallow "dent" in the limb, just below the nine o'clock position

Nicely caught David. Hopefully by the time the thick layer of cloud colours the new AR will be full on.
