Bolton rob
As I have an EQ5 mount would I be able to get an HEQ5 mount without the tripod? Would it be cheaper?

Bolton rob
I know they suppose be fantastic mounts but as the tripods are suppose be same as an eq5 mount thought I would be able budget my money without the tripod.
swag72
I'm not aware that you can purchase the HEQ5 without the tripod. For what it's worth I echo the above about it being a good mount. I am regularly getting 30 minute subs with mine - Guided of course - but I really couldn't ask or expect more from it than that.
Naemeth
You might, but it would almost certainly be 2nd hand. You can get the whole thing for less than £500 usually, 2nd hand. Bolton rob
Second hand don't bother me. As long as its all in working order.
JamesF
You could always get the mount and sell the tripod on if necessary. There are people who want the tripods to upgrade the lower-end mounts.James
