Astralstroll
Finally managed to catch a glimpse of M17 early this morning. I can't believe I've not had a look at this gem before! Really looking forward to another look from a less awkward spot. At such low elevations, it is barely clearing my garden fence, and that's with the dob on a small table. Well worth it though. michael.h.f.wilkinson
The Swan is great. I cannot see it from my garden, but I am going to seek it out on holidays in Tuscany this year. Cannot wait
Astralstroll
It literally clears my fence by about one degree. It is rather beautiful, and I reckon a somewhat neglected gem of the night sky. Enjoy your views when you see it.
swamp thing
Not sure it's really neglected. It's an extremely popular target for deep sky observers, I check it out most times I observe in summer/autumn. From dark sites where the whole swan can be seen, it is a breathtaking sight.Looking forward to observing this myself this year. A trip to darkest Wales after the long days of June is on the cards
foundaplanet
I saw this for the first time 5/6 weeks ago and would have to have it down as one of my favourite objects, a very delicate and beautiful object.
