White light Sun, 16th May

Had to grab an opportunity between the clouds before the Sun got too low this afternoon and the seeing had gone off a bit. I think there may be some high-level haze messing things up -- certainly not a patch on yesterday. Shot a few more frames than usual to compensate, but I'm still not overwhelmed by the quality of the image. It's nowhere near as sharp as I'd like. Anyhow, yer 'tis.

180 frames of 1/1000th @ ISO100, 450D & 127 Mak, preprocessed with PIPP, pulled 160 into Registax v6 and stacked 61 at a quality level of over 98%.
