At last good seeing interrupted by cloud unfortunately, so I managed to get some visible storms as well as the Hexagon pole. It amazes me that with good seeing the colours really come to life. Unfortunately the blue channel was disturbed with light misty cloud but the red was so steady with occassional wobbly seeing. I went for 5min channel captures with WinJupos and 6000 red frames made the difference, should I opt for derotation of the avi? The IR came out well with lots of bands. This sort of seeing and 5min channels shows results. I put together a gif of the 3 sets I got 30mins apart. The first 2 sets were with fair seeing 6.5/10 and the final set was wth good seeing 8/10.

R RGB 1353hrs.

Red 1344hrs

IR 1324hrs

Hi John i thought those extra times would pay off. The hexagon is so obviouse on the moition film. the colour bands do look really strong dont they, interesting small white storms too. Damm being stuck in the uk is depressing. Your processing is very bold, But it has pulled out a lot of detail and shape. Wow, wish i could get something like this. dream on.

Thanks for comments, I have softer versions of the rgb but wanted those storms to stand right out. I have had a try at the Map Projection in WJupos which shows the hexagon better.

They are standing out well. I dont think i could detect such subtle detail here ? The projection showing the hexagon shape well.
