Hi Rick and a warm welcome from a very chilly and sometimes snowing East Yorks

Clouds are the bane of all astronomers living on these islands we "lovingly" call home! Every time someone spends any wonger on new kit the curse adds cloud days to add to our observing woes

hang in there and eventually you will get a session in and all will be forgotten, at least for a short while.

as for a portable scope, sub 100mm is your best bet, I use a AZ4 for portability with my Tal 100. Although of late my bins have had more use given the fleeting clear patches in which to view.
