Must be different Gods,because hear on the East Coast,there,s been no clear skies for months.

Best night was Saturday - bagged 52 tiny gxys in 3 shots in Lynx in a quick session. Clear night last night [Monday] but hazy eg LVM ~3.0 [only 6 stars in Plough!] but shot a mag 15 quasar and NGC 2403 gxy in Cam. Last night also 'dark-of-the-moon' club night at Ranmore Common but haven't been lately as I seem to do more @ home with my toys despite the LP

Jjust checked Wikipedia for range = my quasar @ 1.3BLY and NGC 2403 @ modest 8MLY !

Last night was the best for ages. Clear and not too cold.

Beehive was great and I managed to find m67 for the first time it all seems worthwhile

clear sky here again if you dont count that obvious haze thats being light up nicely by the setting sun and will soon be lit up again in a distinct orange in a few hours :/

Drat, darn and bother.

After getting everything set up the "clear sky" forecast turns out be a joke. LVM of about 2.5. Even for London this is dire.

Knocked it on the head and come in. For the second "clear" night in a row.

So....Weather Gods...you 'avin' a girrafe?

Just been out in coventry. No clouds but hazy. Ok for jupiter, beehive etc but not for the faint stuff.

Oh well. Nothing for it but wait again for the next clear skys. Gonna have to sit indoors browsing through Ebay for some bargains.

Anyone use http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/satpics/latest_IR.html - run the 24hr cloudcover movie several times both IR and visible and see what's coming your way. I find it better [for astro] than regular Met Off forecast which are meant for non-astro folk where haze and LP are of no consequence.... but cause rage for some folk hereabout
