Hi,

Below my 2sd trial on Orion and Pleiades, taken tonight. I am really pleased with those, really nice improvement from the 1st ones (longer total time, this time in RAW with dark&flats).

I guess I just need to take more and more pictures! (note I am on skymax 102 f12,7 and AltAz goto, I know not the best for this!!).

Considering your scope is nearly f13 these are good. My scope is f5 and I shot 30 sec subs x30 with 15 darks and 15 flats last week at iso 1250 on my Kx and had no nebulosity to speak of with M45 although M42 came out very nicely. Keep up the good work!

Hi

I added 6 minutes to Orion and 10 minutes to Pleiades (all iso 3200, 15 sec for Orion, 25 sec for pleiades.

For Orion, I also "simulate" an exposure blend: before stretching the level for the core as 1 dark exposure and stretching as much as I can for the fainter part as bright exposure (so not really 2 different exposures, but the principle of blending with mask layer/blur/curves is basically the same and I tried this for 1st time.
