Obi Wan Ken00bi
Hey all!Yesterday we had a clear night, but rather cold night. After a while my battery's started to freeze and became useless (one photo of 20 sec, battery dead).Attached are my first moon and first M31 (much moon light polution though), but it was a bit of a stuggle. Now I'm after this unit:http://www.ebay.nl/itm/AC-Power-Adapter-ACK-E2-DR-400-Battery-coupler-kit-for-Canon-EOS-20D-EOS-20Da-/330875421382?pt=UK_Camera_Chargers_Docks&hash=item4d09b642c6anybody has experience with it? Or maybe some tips on keeping the camera warm somehow?Obi
JamesF
An external power supply is probably easiest. I use one with my camera when I'm going to be out imaging for a while. You don't really want a warm camera because it can increase noise in the image.James

tonedeaf
regarding the power adapter: i use a similar one, works great.every battery looses some capacity under cold conditions, but on the other side i have an older canon battery replica, and this one dies after some minutes maybe the battery is near the end... Amra
A power adapter doesn't ship with the camera by default? I better buy one then!
