Freezing....

Recommended Posts

Hey all!

Yesterday we had a clear night, but rather cold night.

After a while my battery's started to freeze and became useless (one photo of 20 sec, battery dead).

Attached are my first moon and first M31 (much moon light polution though), but it was a bit of a stuggle.

Now I'm after this unit:

anybody has experience with it? Or maybe some tips on keeping the camera warm somehow?

regarding the power adapter: i use a similar one, works great.

every battery looses some capacity under cold conditions,

but on the other side i have an older canon battery replica, and this one dies after some minutes

maybe the battery is near the end...
