Recommended Posts

Please use this thread to showcase your best images captured during 2012. Just one post per member but you can include up to 5 images if you want.

The thread is for all imagers novices and advanced. Hopefully we will be able to do the same again next year. Over time we will be able to see the progress which is being made by individuals and as a forum.

Please keep details to a minimum - scope and camera possibly along with a few comments.

The thread needs to be packed with images so please don't respond to the postings

All images taken with camera lenses, Moravian G2 8300 and Astrodon narrowband filters.

I'm most surprised at how the Crescent turned out. It's a tight crop from a 250mm lens in Ha and O111. Even the little bubble puts in an appearance.

A mix of 150 and 250 mm all at f4 plus the NGC 7822 from a 180mm lens at f2.8 with some S11 for the colour.

Dave.

Some wide field images from me. All with my unmodded 450D. The images link to larger versions.

First, the Milky Way/Cygnus/Summer Triangle, 60x45 second subs + darks, 18-55mm kit lens wide open at f/4.5:

Cassiopiea with the "nifty fifty". Don't have more details to hand for this one:

Same again, but this time Perseus:
