Yes Saturday looks good and next week from Monday to Thursday. Saturday is out for me but have a good one whatever you all decide to do on the night.

A bit cloudy here to start but it cleared up nicely. Friends were suitably impressed with the views through the scope. It's just gone midnight and the skies have gone all milky so we have packed up and retired inside. I hope you guys all had a good evening under the first decent sky in ages. We just need some more now

It was a pretty good night. Nice views and the humidity was quite low, so no annoying fogging up.

Had good views of Jupiter earlier in the evening but it's not long before it disappears behind next doors enormous hedge. By the time the atmosphere had calmed down, Jupiter had 'set' from my garden and the call of a warming malt whiskey won the day

Yes indeed. It was a welcome warm up for me. It was a great evening - one of our friends has recently got here first DSLR - a D3100. She was absolutely blown away when we hooked it up to the scope and took a single 15 second shot of M42. I don't think it'll be long before she visits the telescope shop!!
