1st attempt @ Orion Nebula

So as we had some clear skie tonight i decided to go out and get some practice in with the telescope, 1st time ive had the goto working and overall had a good night.

1st port of call was jupiter, then the pleiades, andromeda galaxy then i decided to pay the orion nebula a visit,GEEZ what a sight i couldnt take my eyes of it, so decided to get the camera out and have ago at some AP. pretty pleased with this as its my proper 1st ever go at AP on a DSO.

Nice photo. I've been trying to get some decent pics and stack them with DSS. I can't seem to get the pictures to register. I'll give it another go tonight.

This was taken with the dslr and tube ( no barlow )

That's really cool Andy. Can I ask how much you cropped it?

I am trying to get an idea of what it might look like through my scope as am yet to see it. Once I do, like you I will be trying to capture it with a DSLR.

Thats a cracking image. I managed to take a load of subs last night of M42 as well. Hopefully get to process them soon
