By the light of the Silvery Moon

Is it Sod's Law that the full Moon has to coincide with the transit of Ganymede chasing the GRS - and not only that but for both bodies being virtually side-by-side. Grrrrrh....

Apart from being nearly washed out by the Moon's glow and the turbulence from the heat rising from my neighbour's smokestack, it just happened to be the only clear-ish night we've had here for a few weeks. Beggars can't be choosers, eh?

The seeing wasn't great here. Not being too distant I'm guessing it wasn't that hot for you either? A good effort nonetheless.

Very nice to see plenty of images of the transit being posted though.

Thats 3 of us that have posted images from 11-15ish lol Seeing must have marginally improved across the country for those few minutes.
